In 2011 Canada Post will raise its postage rates for letters and envelopes. A domestic letter weighing up to 30 grams will cost $1.07, while a stamp purchased in a booklet will cost $0.90 to $0.92. Small businesses will see a six per cent increase in their annual costs. Aside from lowering their costs, the increased stamp prices will also lower their operating costs. In addition, the increase will also benefit small businesses.

Regardless of the size or weight of a letter or envelope, Canada Post has a wide variety of delivery options. Standard-sized mail in Canada, for example, costs around $1.30. For those sending mail to the US, the price is $0.30 per letter. For international mailing, standard-sized mail costs as much as $2.71.
